Is TRT Watchdog legit?

Quick answer
Yes. TRT Watchdog is an independent comparison site run by Julian Caraulani. It lists 11 TRT programs and reads every price from the program's own pricing page, with the link and the date it was checked. It earns money from affiliate commissions on some links (3 of the 11 programs right now), and commission is not one of the five inputs to its scores. It does not sell treatment, prescribe or give medical advice.

Who runs it
Julian Caraulani, founder and editor. Julian runs the Watchdog sites and checks every price against the provider's own page before it is published.
Dr. A. Goher, MBBS, medical reviewer. Dr. Goher graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University School of Medicine in 2017 and is a resident physician with more than five years of clinical experience. She checks drug information, side effects and clinical claims against FDA-approved labeling and current research. A guide carries her name only after she has reviewed that version.
TRT Watchdog is a small independent team. About us.
How it makes money
Some “Visit” buttons are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, the program may pay TRT Watchdog a commission. You pay the same price either way.
Right now 3 of the 11 programs we list have a tracked link, through Katalys: MangoRx, GoodLife Health, DudeMeds.Every other button goes straight to the program's own site and earns nothing. The list is computed from the same data as the buttons, so it changes when they do.
- Scores: computed from five published criteria. Commission is not one of them.
- Listings: programs are listed whether or not they pay us.
- Reviews and positions: programs can't buy a review, a score or a position.
How prices are read and dated
From the program's own page
Every price comes from the program's own pricing page. Each plan shows the link we read it on and the date we checked it. When a program doesn't publish a price, the table says “Not published” instead of guessing.
Twice a week, Monday and Thursday
A price check re-reads the pricing pages and updates the date on every price it confirms. Our rule is that no price goes more than 14 days without a re-read. Across 29 plans, the newest check is October 30, 2026 and the oldest is October 26, 2026.
Costs added, not hidden
Headline prices add the costs that are easy to miss, such as a required membership. A plan that needs a charge on top is shown in its review's plan table, never as a “from” price.
The public record
We search the FDA warning-letter database, with a control term that must return results, and record each program's public review score where one exists. 10 of the 11programs have a dated FDA check on their page so far; any other says “not yet checked”, never “none found”.
Scores weigh price 30%, transparency 25%, care 20%, access 15% and reputation 10%. The exact rules are on how we score.
What it does not do
- Sell treatment, prescribe, or give medical advice.
- Let a commission change a score, a listing or what a review says.
- Estimate a price a program doesn't publish.
- Sell personal data or collect health information. Quiz answers stay in your browser.
Honest limits
- We cover 11 TRT programs, not every one in the US.
- We read what programs publish and the public record. We don't see a price that only appears after a consultation, and we don't audit a program's clinicians or pharmacy.
- Prices change between checks. The program's own checkout is the final word.
- Some facts we could not confirm. 11 program pages list them under “What we could not verify” (34 items in all), rather than filling them in.
- The five criteria and their weights are our judgment. They are fixed and published so you can apply your own.
- When two programs score within 0.1, we may show the one with clearer pricing first.
Check our work
You don't have to take our word for it. Every plan on a review page links to its source with the date, and each program's lowest price and source page are downloadable.

Common questions
Is TRT Watchdog legit?
Yes. TRT Watchdog is an independent comparison site run by Julian Caraulani. Who runs TRT Watchdog?
Julian Caraulani, founder and editor. Julian runs the Watchdog sites and checks every price against the provider's own page before it is published. Clinical statements in guides are reviewed by Dr. A. Goher, MBBS, medical reviewer; a guide shows the reviewer's name only after that version has been reviewed.
How does TRT Watchdog make money?
Through affiliate commissions. When you sign up with a program through some of our links, the program may pay us; you pay the same price either way. Right now 3 of the 11 programs we list have a tracked link (through Katalys); the others link straight to the program's own site and pay us nothing.
Can a program pay for a better score?
No. The score is computed from five published criteria (price 30%, transparency 25%, care 20%, access 15% and reputation 10%), the same for every program, and commission is not one of them. Programs can't buy a review, a score or a position.
How often does TRT Watchdog check prices?
A price check runs twice a week, every Monday and Thursday, and re-reads programs' pricing pages. Our rule is that no price may go more than 14 days without a re-read. Every price shows the page it came from and the date: the newest is October 30, 2026, the oldest October 26, 2026.
Is TRT Watchdog medical advice?
No. TRT Watchdog is for information only and is not medical advice. Testosterone is a prescription controlled substance; talk to a licensed clinician about whether it is right for you.
